Changing classes, making new friends, and learning new ideas are some of the exciting challenges you will face as you
complete your last year in the Elementary School.
You are not just in a class of 25, but rather a member of the "Soar 74," an important partner of our fifth grade
community here at Conant Elementary. In the fifth grade, all of your teachers share in your education, helping you get prepared
for middle school. On this site, you will find information on our monthly themes in Science, Language Arts, and Social Studies.
In addition, our fifth grade web page will be a valuable resource to you for important events happening in the fifth grade,
as well as dates to remember, long-range projects and assignments, and photos capturing our memories of this exciting school
year.

** Enjoy your Winter Break from Thursday, December 22nd through Monday, January 2nd. Your fifth grade teachers look forward
to seeing you back in school on Tuesday, January 3, 2006!
** For those of you fifth graders participating in the Science Enrichment activities, your final drawings for the 2006
Severe Weather Poster Contest are due on Friday, January 13th. Good luck!
** There will be no school on Monday, January 16, 2006 in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Your fifth grade teachers
look forward to seeing you back in school on Tuesday, January 17th.
